The next couple of posts (let's be honest this is going to take more than a couple of posts) are going to summarize my life from the past 2 months. There were things from dance competitions, to spring break, to family parties. All of which deserve to be posted. So stay tuned and bare with me and in a matter of posts I will be up to date on the latest and greatest.
Back in February I had the opportunity of competing in the Miss Drill Utah competition! It was a blast! I competed with such beautiful dancers and girls and got to share the experience with 3 of my teammates (best friends). It was such a fun night! We had preliminaries which included a private interview with 3 judges, modeling (called a star), and a solo performance. Modeling is dancing with no music. It is completely silent so you are judged on how quiet you are, and how well you execute the movement. It is called a star because you walk the stage in the shape of a star stopping at each point (8 steps in between each point) and to a combination of dancing. Oh and did I mention it has to be done in 45 seconds or you are penalized? Yeah, it was a little stressful but all worth it!
It was a memorable night and the overall experience taught me a lot. I love dancing and I love that I have so many friends and family who support me. I had my incredible team there to cheer me and the others on. They are truly my sisters and I love spending so much time with them!
